It is unfortunate that the total cost of smoking significantly exceeds the global revenues coming from the imposition of tobacco taxes, which were estimated at $269 million in 2013 and 2014, according to the World Health Organization, and the study also showed that the number of smoking-related deaths is expected to increase from 6 million. Annually, to approximately 8 million deaths by the year 2030 AD, and the largest proportion of 80% of all these deaths will be in countries that suffer from low and middle income levels.

It is worth noting that smoking is responsible for high health care costs and annual waste of more than $1 trillion, according to this study reviewed by more than 70 global experts.
